Umuoji people and friends all over the world were gathered December 28th and 29th for the first Ofala Festival of His Highness, The Igwe of Umuoji, Igwe Dr. Cyril Nwabunwanne Enweze, Ebube Igwulube Okodu, Ochilliozua, Okosisi N' Echendo.
The event will go down as one of the biggest in Umuoji history and was witnessed by who is who in Nigerias and beyond.
UIU-USA was well represented, led by our President, Dr Fidelis Onyimba and his wife Ifeoma along with their Children. Our national Vice President Dr Adaeze Muoghalu and Spiritual adviser Rev Joe Okoye. Dr Chuma Mbonu, Dr and Mrs Chris Nkemeh & family. Former National President Chief Engr. Okey Okonkwo(Diji), Mrs Apollonia Agugo (Adakaibeya) & family , Atlanta branch vice Chairman Chief Dr and Mrs Douglas Mgbemena and Family, Tri- State Chairman Chief Mike Obadike, Chief and Mrs Aguanu and family, Chief Ikechukwu Ofoje, Dr Aniuno, Mr Iyke Muoghalu and my humble self Osita Okoye and family.
Our own Dr and Mrs Larry Enweze and national financial secretary Chief Obi Enweze not only played host but made sure UIU-USA got a first class treatment through out our stay in Igwe's palace.
As part of our tribute, UIU-USA presented a cow to the Igwe accompained by the famous egwu Akwunechienyi of Abor.
