ATLANTA 2008 UIU-USA CONVENTION - An Address by the Igwe of Umuoji - HRH Igwe Dr Cyril Enweze (Ebube Igwulube Okodu; Ochilozua)

The Igwe of Umuoji HRH Igwe Dr Cyril Enweze was the special guest of honour for Atlanta 2008 convention.

In his landmark address to Umuoji People at the Convention, the Igwe announced among other initiatives, a program to provide an interest free loan to 46 widows (two per village from all 23 villages in Umuoji).

Details of this program will be announced during the upcoming Ofala festival in December 28th- 29th 2008 .

The Igwe also made a whopping donation of $3000 to help UIU-USA in thier rehabilitation project of Umuoji Boys High School.

Long live Umuoji !!!

Umuoji is blessed to have an Igwe with a great vision and knowledge.

ATLANTA 2008 - An Address by Atlanta Branch chairman - Chief Chuma Okeke Ekpe (Nnaebue)

Atlanta Branch Chairman welcomes all Umuojians and friends to the great city of Atlanta.

In his chairman's address, tittled "A mind is a terrible thing to waste", Chief Okeke-Ekpe called on all present to reach deep down into their hearts and help these children achieve their educational dreams.

This great man of Umuoji and his wife Mrs Chinyelu M. Okeke-Ekpe gave prases to his Atlanta team made up of:

Chief & Mrs Ikechukwu Ofojeh (Ex Captain of renowned Rangers International) and Chairman planning committee, Atlanta 2008.

Chief & Mrs Sam Molokwu (Nnabuenyi), our pubilicity guru who never missed a chance to remind all Umuojians and friends to "keep our eyes on the price".

Chief & Mrs Emeka Okeke-Ekpe(Anyichie) who kept all tabs of our money. Engr &Mrs Bisi Ogene and Mr Vincent "Macbeth" Chika.

ATLANTA 2008 - An Address by the National President UIU-USA, Dr Fidelis Onyimba (Nnanyelugo)

The President's address by UIU-USA National President

Dr. Fidelis Onyima(Nnanyelugo).

Dr Onyimba called on all Umojians at home and abroad, friends of Umuoji, the Anambra State Government, and Idemili Local Government to come to our aid towards the restoration of accredation of Umuoji Boys high school senior secondary school.
